I had a great followup with my doctor this week – weight loss rules for not getting yelled at by your physician on your visit. So here’s some Right Said Fred in honor of my awesomeness.
Have I mentioned I am SO WATCHING THIS on Saturday night?
Over at Culture Brats today we’re dissecting the new Katy Perry & Elmo video. Which got me to browsing YouTube, which is where I ran across this gem:
The opening credits KILL ME. Well done Sesame Street!
This post was brought to you by the Culture Brats article last week about AOL Radio’s worst song ever list. This song was #15!

I’ve run into some interesting movie news the past several days that I thought I’d pass along…
Alex Proyas (director of The Crow, Dark City, and I Am Robot) is set to direct a 3-D adaptation of John Milton’s Paradise Lost. Yes, you read that right, Paradise Lost. In 3-D. And yet I’m still intrigued… because this quote just killed me:
Variety says the project, “will be crafted as an action vehicle that will include aerial warfare, possibly shot in 3D.” While Milton’s poem has withstood the test of time, a common complaint from critics is the distinct lack of aerial warfare.
In other news, I’ve been waiting to see some footage of this flick and the first trailer has finally been released. It’s The Fighter and it’s directed by David O. Russell, who might possibly be crazy/awful to work with (see here here here and here) but there were no reports of crazy blow outs on this one, I REALLY like Three Kings, and the cast is stellar.
1. Remember when Marky Mark was an underwear model and not an Oscar caliber actor?
2. Is anyone else worried for Christian Bale? His tendency to take roles that make him bulk way up (Batman) and then drop a ton of weight (this, The Machinist) makes me fear that we’re going to hear at a young age that he died from liver failure related to extreme weight loss or something.
Finally, Sacha Baron Cohen has signed to play Freddie Mercury in a biopic. I never noticed he looks a whole heck of a lot like Freddie till I saw this:
I forget how I ran across this the other day, but I so covet this pendant:
And to celebrate the awesomeness that is Dwight Schrute, I found this video, set to awesome music.
And also a PSA.
The more you know! Happy Friday!
So I saw this article on Gizmodo this morning.
I’m a geek girl. I’m all about the Facebook and the Twitter. OnStar always seemed like a good idea for some people. But why on earth do I need my car’s navigation system to connect to Facebook? So I can Farmville while I’m driving? I just want my nav system to, you know, get me to new places. That’s it. I have an iPhone if I really need to hit up Facebook while I’m away from my laptop.
Anyone else tired of seeing dumb things want to get cool by adding Facebook or Twitter features?
(Now get off my lawn!)
SHARKTOPUS will debut on SyFy on September 25 at 9/8c! It stars Eric Roberts and a SHARKTOPUS people!
I still love the music in this video. And Eric Roberts’s terrible dialogue delivery. I expect this will be a two margarita movie. Who’s down?
