We hauled our tired-from-New-Years-Eve butts out of bed this morning in order to watch the NHL Winter Classic Hockey game this morning. Stupid time zones. The game, between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings, is a bit of a grudge match as these two teams are battling it out in the Central Division. Both teams have been in the NHL since the league was founded. But what’s more important is that today’s game is being played outside at a converted Wrigley Field. It’s pretty nifty to see. We’ll likely spend the rest of the day being lazy, because that’s the way we roll this week.
We had a pretty low key New Years Eve. Stayed in with bake brie and champagne and a friend.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year’s Eve. I look forward to 2009!
