A slew of weekend posting

I had time for several posts this weekend so keep on scrolling down!

There’s a second sequel to Gone With the Wind coming soon. Called Rhett Butler’s People, it’s a kind of retelling of the story from Rhett’s point of view, with more information on his childhood and family.

I read Scarlett, years ago when it came out, and it was very “meh.” Maybe this will be better? I dunno, but I’ve had an itch to watch the film again. I own it, I love it, it’s just too long for an idle watching. It’s worth watching just for the costumes – Vivian Leigh is just gorgeous in it.

Anyone going to read the new sequel?

  1. Extensive your paper by carefully proofreading a printed version of your final draft. Browse your paper out loud to make sure which you have identified any typos, grammatical errors, wordy or incomplete sentences, and other minor mistakes that may negatively affect your grade. Once you have identified any minor errors, revise your paper and print a fresh copy to turn in.
In the event you are submitting your paper using the web or through email, check with your teacher or professor to uncover out what format s/he prefers. If you decide to have put to use any textual formatting as part of your paper, you may would like to save it as a PDF file to preserve your formatting.
Ask a friend, family member or other acquaintance to proofread and make constructive comments on your paper. Professional writers go through several drafts of their give good results and you should expect to do the same.
It is often easier to put in writing a rough introduction and proceed with the rest belonging to the paper before returning to revise the introduction. If you’re feeling lost on how to introduce your paper, produce a placeholder introduction.
Generate in your own personal voice. It is improved to correctly utilize the words you know than to misuse the words you do not know in an attempt to sound scholarly.
Give good results within just your very own practice. For example: Some people will be needing outlines despite the fact that others choose that formal outlining hinders their ability to write down. Recognize what performs ideal for you and adjust accordingly.
Try to get started early if in anyway likely. You’ll manufacture a whole lot superior work–and be a lot less stressed–if you create your paper over the course of several evenings instead of in a single marathon session.
Narrow your topic as you move through the crafting plan. The majority of students make the mistake of picking an overly-broad topic in hopes of having enough to say, but it really is actually easier to say alot more with a narrow topic. For example, composing a paper on whether or not war in general is ethical would be nearly impossible. In contrast, creating a paper on whether or not we should be fighting a particular war is manageable.
At any time you have trouble structuring your paper, be able to write a new outline of your paper according to the topic sentences of paragraphs. On your outline, generate a sentence explaining the relationship among topic sentences. Any time you cannot very quickly explain this relationship, this will mean that your paragraphs are out of order and you should reorder them.
Recognize which you will not have enough time to thoroughly read through ten or twelve books on your topic. Make use of the book’s table of contents and index to guide your search for that most relevant chapters.
