Here’s a headline you don’t see every day

“Giant Lego man washed up on Dutch beach”

Seriously. It’s a real headline. Here’s the story:

A giant, smiling Lego man has been fished out of the sea in the Dutch resort of Zandvoort.Workers at a drinks stall rescued the 2.5-metre tall model, which had a yellow head and blue torso.”

We saw something bobbing about in the sea and we decided to take it out of the water,” said a stall worker. “It was a life-sized Lego toy.”

A woman nearby added: “I saw the Lego toy floating towards the beach from the direction of England.”

The toy was later placed in front of the drinks stall.

Here’s what the giant Lego man looks like:Lego man

What?? What does that shirt even mean? Why does this Lego man exist? Is this England’s new invasion plan?

Here’s another great headline from this week: Airline asks, ‘Is that a monkey in your ponytail?’ I hope that someday I have occasion to ask if that’s a monkey in somebody’s pony tail. I just like the sound of that.
